I started blogging when I moved from California to Kentucky – bit of a culture shock there, I’m afraid – and was having a mid-life crisis of sorts. What to do? Build a life of family, home and volunteering? Try to re-enter the job market? I thought that writing about things, something I’ve always liked to do, would help me sort it all out; help me out of my life as a recluse. “Cathy without a plan” was born. But I got sidetracked. I couldn’t resist commenting on the news, on books I’ve read, people I’ve observed, life’s absurdities, and all manner of other things. I really haven’t been doing much ‘planning’ at all. Oh well. And in the meantime, I moved again – back to the west coast – and now have a whole new set of adventures that are surely interfering with serious planning. So I'm unsettled, indecisive and wishy-washy about what I should do ‘next'... which seems to suit me after all. I used to be one of life’s great planners. But now here I am, happily, "Cathy without a plan."

Goodness Carl, have a little respect for the American Bald Eagle! An osprey indeed...
Sorry, I couldn't tell the scale from the photo and it looked a lot like the osprey I took pictures of in Oregon.
Apologies, Carl - your osprey pictures DO look like my eagle picture! And I shouldn't post something without a reference to it. (And I really didn't know what an osprey was anyway.) Good grief. Open mouth, insert foot...
Apology accepted. Although after looking at the osprey again I can tell a marked difference
I love the picture! I tried it as wallpaper, but the quality ( taken from the site) was not as clear as I am sure the original would be. Can you send me a better picture? Picky, picky me.
