I started blogging when I moved from California to Kentucky – bit of a culture shock there, I’m afraid – and was having a mid-life crisis of sorts. What to do? Build a life of family, home and volunteering? Try to re-enter the job market? I thought that writing about things, something I’ve always liked to do, would help me sort it all out; help me out of my life as a recluse. “Cathy without a plan” was born. But I got sidetracked. I couldn’t resist commenting on the news, on books I’ve read, people I’ve observed, life’s absurdities, and all manner of other things. I really haven’t been doing much ‘planning’ at all. Oh well. And in the meantime, I moved again – back to the west coast – and now have a whole new set of adventures that are surely interfering with serious planning. So I'm unsettled, indecisive and wishy-washy about what I should do ‘next'... which seems to suit me after all. I used to be one of life’s great planners. But now here I am, happily, "Cathy without a plan."

Ooooo, flowers!!! And if you think your yard didn't turn out how you liked, I should send you a picture of my NM yard... Rocks and tumbleweeds. I think your flowers look very nice.
Carolyn! Nice to hear from you - how is NM other than the rocks? Hope you are finding something to do.
Maybe we should just set up a family forum somwhere so we could all communicate! I love the flowers too. All I get is rabbits eating everything I try to grow unless I surround it with chicken wire! They somehow lose some of their appeal under wire!
I like the idea Janet had! I set up a Yahoo! Group for everyone to "chat" I'm not sure I have everyone's email address to do an invite (I made it private so you can't just search for it on the Yahoo! Group page.) I'll send emails to everyone I have (or myspace) and then eveyone can pass it to others. We can experiment to see if that is a good place to "chat"
Of course no one should stop making comments to Cathy!
I LOVE your flowers - I wish I could get something to grow here....
