It's Cold!

It is very, very cold. Bitterly cold, according to the weather channel. But we went to see Mt Rushmore anyway - had the place to ourselves! (Except for the mountain goats...)

I can't believe you went sightseeing in that weather! I'd have to just stay inside.

It looks like a beautiful day for sight seeing to me! The flags are just hanging there, so evidently there wasn't much of a wind chill, the sun is out and the sky is blue! It appears that the mountain goat, at least, is dressed warmly enough for the weather.

It kind of reminds me of the time Kathy and I went to the Grand Canyon (from Sedona) while we were on our honeymoon and due to an alarm clock malfunction, got there before the forest rangers. It was in November and the temperature was still in the teens on a very crisp, clear morning. The difference is that it didn't stay that cold for long.

The photos are nice.

Love the photos, especially the goat. We're cheering you on!

Greg's mom called him today and asked what a blog was. I'm not sure she understood what he was trying to tell her. So I sent the address to her.

Actually, I think it should be "'blog" which would be a contraction of "web log". Right?

It IS a contraction of web log, indeed. And, I understand, 'so last year' - the new thing being video something or other. Oh well.

Cathy, is your posting time correct? You must be having dificulty adjusting to the new time zone! Or is that insimnia kicking in again?
